#97 Visit the Dark Continent.

Why Africa? Why not? Africa has everything you can think of. Seeing a land that is relatively untouched, and uncivilized in most parts is enough for me. Its to bad that there is so much conflict and suffering in the country. When people think of Africa they usually think lions, elephants, giraffes, and desert. Not me! Yes I do want to see these but there is so much more. Africa has some of the worlds most impressive, but very under appreciated mountains. Kilimanjaro being the most famous. The Highlands of Ethiopia are very striking. Victoria Falls is also in Africa. These falls are over a mile wide and over three hundred feet high. Cape town wouldn't be to bad to visit either. Africa has so much that I cant even begin to describe all that I want to see. I also think that the history of Africa is something all people should learn about to some extent. Not the history of the slave trade but of when it was first being discovered and explored. At the time Africa had such an overabundance of wealth that a person could make a killing, if he didn't get killed. To bad Africa's wealth has been stripped and used for wrong. Now one of the problems is diamonds. Its ridiculous that people get killed over stupid rocks. Sure their pretty and sparkly, but not worth a single human life. The market is also controlled when it comes to diamonds. There are so many of them locked away that if they ever hit the main market they wouldn't be worth much. I don't care where the rock comes from I will never buy a diamond. So back to Africa, its defiantly at the top of my list of things to see. Hopefully I will.

#98 Seeing Great White Sharks Jump Out Of The Water
(and then getting in the water with them!)
Admit it you know you want to do it too! Who wouldnt be impressed by seeing a two ton shark leap out of the water! Sharks are awesome and are'nt out to eat us so whats to fear? Respect the creature, understand it and all will be fine (unless you look like a seal).

#99. I want to see several National Parks. Those among the list are Arches in Utah. The rocks there look awesome. I want to see Bryce Canyon in Utah as well. The Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Caves are awesome and you know it, and this one is a great example. Crater Lake in Oregon. Chyahoga Valley in Ohio, its packed with waterfalls and orchids, enough said. Death Valley just to say I was there. Denali, don't really need to explain this one. Glacier, Tetons and Yellowstone all on the list for this summer. The Grand Canyon. The Great Smokey Mountains, I hear they have great trails. Haleakala, and Hawaii Volcanoes in none other than Hawaii. Katmai in Alaska. Mammoth cave in Kentucky. More caves! Mesa Verde in Colorado. Mt. Rainier and the North Cascades of Washington. Olympic in Oregon. The Redwoods in California. Trees are great and you could build a great tree house in a redwood. Last but not least is Yosemite so that i can climb to the top of El Capitan and Half Dome.

#100.

I want to see all fifty states in my home country. So far I have been to Oregon, I absolutely loved it and plan to see more. I have been to Montana and am planning a trip to Glacier this summer to see more of it. Obviously I have been to Wyoming but sadly have not seen much of my home state. I have been to Utah and Nevada and there is defiantly more to see in both places. I have been to Colorado several times and so far am not impressed. I guess I need to escape Denver and its greater area to really appreciate this state. Then there is New Mexico and Texas. I've been thur the first and never care to return to the latter. Next there are the great Black Hills of South Dakota and its mountain sculptures that I have been to. There is now Nebraska and Kansas. Never again do I want to drive those flat corn infested roads. I do not do well in lands devoid of mountains or even a decent sized hill, this applies to Texas as well. The only other place I have been so far is Washington D.C. and there are no plans to return. So there you have it, twelve down, thirty eight to go.
The next posts are going to be the top 100 things I want to see and do in my lifetime.

The Twins Response to Why Chad Should Love Bees

Bats have an invariable effect on our planet. They have existed for more than fifty million years, and there perpetual existence is so crucial, that all life on Earth depends on them. There are more than one thousand different species of bats; however, each kind preforms nearly identical duties in there different colonies. Bats should be loved more than Bees, because they support our atmosphere, our crops, and can save Jessica's bees.

Primarily, bats trump bees because they maintain our increasingly vulnerable atmosphere, by cultivating what is left of our dwindling rain forests. This is accomplished through native, fruit bats who's instinctive longing for survival impulses them to eat from the trees and leave deposits of seeds through out the forest floor. These seeds are nourished and become trees. These trees recycle the excess carbon-dioxide put into the air by human vehicles and replaces it with the overpowered percentage of remaining oxygen in our atmosphere. Thus, enough bats and rain forests could nearly single handedly restore the balance to our atmosphere and effectively solve global warming.

The penultimate reason why bats ostentatious awesomeness triumphs over bees is because they help our crops by leaving there natural means. Bats outside of rain forest fulfill there niche for survival by eating insects that naturally eat crops. This serves as dual purpose in the bats arsenal against bees, though the primary reason this is purposeful is because bats help provide adequate food to the starving around the world.

The final reason why bats should be loved more than bees is because bats will save the bees. This is the second edge of the dual awesomeness presented by bats when they eat insects. Bees are dying because of parasites and pesticides; yet, when bats are present it eliminates the farms need to use harmful pesticides on there crops to ward off insects. This will keep the bees free from the pesticides and promotes both the causes of bats and bees at the same time.

It is evident that Jess needs to realize that Bats are the better creature because not only are they more environmentally vital, but they also promote the well being of humans, bees and all earth dwellers alike. We should all now remember to thank Jehovah for bats, because though they may be scary they are key to Earth's stabilization.

My Response
So twin I have to sat that I agree with you on most of the above. (I can't believe I agree with you for once) You however must admit that bees are totally awesome as well. I myself happen to like bats. I think basically that people need to realize the crucial role all creatures play in the environment whether they be small and creepy or large and mighty. All play a part and need to be respected and not needlessly eradicated.
Why Chad Should Love Bees.
So Chad wants to know how I will take over the world with my army of bees. Well I may not take over the world with them, but they will at least keep the world turning. So why bees? Bees may scare the heck out of some people, but they really are harmless. Unless you are deathly allergic to them you really have nothing to fear. Bees are a miracle of nature and without them nothing would exist. With spring just around the corner take time to appreciate the bee and all they do instead of running away.
So what makes them so good you may ask? First off they make honey, another miracle of nature. Honey has amazing properties that that can do anything from healing a wound to soothing a sore throat. I had a friend who's horse went through a fence and was cut up worse than I had ever seen. His front leg had all of the skin and muscle peeled back almost to the bone. After cleaning the wound and placing a few stitches the vet then packed the wound with raw honey and then stitched everything shut. We kept applying honey to the wound and when it finally healed there wasn't even a scar.
Honey can give you an energy boost, fortify your immune system, make you look younger, and help cure just about any problem you can think of.
O.k. so honey is just the beginning of the bees arsenal. They also pollinate the plants we eat. Sadly bees are suffering a major decline in numbers and no one can really pinpoint a reason why. There are several theories but nothing is for sure. So if bees disappear so does the food. They also produce propolis a resin like substance that they seal their hives with and use to prevent disease. People use propolis for several health reasons, mostly for its antibiotic properties. Then there is royal jelly. The worker bees produces this to feed the larva in the hive and again humans use this substance for its health benefits. Next comes beeswax. Beeswax is used in everything from candles to chapstick.
So in the end there is no reason to fear bees, they are not out to get you. Instead they should be appreciated and more people should be concerned about their disappearance. Without bees there will be no you and me.

After we spend a few days seeing all there is to see in Yellowstone we will head for Montana and up to Glacier National Park. Google it its awesome! Cant wait to see it. It has a road that is called the 'Going to the Sun Road' it is reall narrow and just over 50-60 miles long and is packed full of photo worthy scenery. Bears, Mountain Goats, and Bighorn Sheep are everywhere. Anyway totally excited!!
